Project Evaluation

1.
  • Porter
  • Picture/Cartoon
  • It looks like a lot of work went into the drawing, but it lacks his original ideas in my belief. I think that he should of wrote a little more about the piece.
2.
  • Conor
  • Cartoon?
  • I think that this way of doing the project made more sense, but aside from organization of the "gallery" it didn't look that complicated. Overall though I like the idea and I thought it was executed very well.
3.
  • Britta
  • Poem
  • After I read the poem I realized that that was probably the best summary of the book I could find. This is because it was easy to read because it flowed and the rhymes worked well together. I think it was a very creative way of conveying the literary elements of the novel.
4.
  • Enola
  • Movie
  • The movie looked like it took a while to make and turned out pretty well... But it only listed the characters and had nothing to do with literary elements or, for that matter, anything else in the book. Yet again though, it looked nice.
5.
  • Aaron Inc.
  • Cartoon
  • I liked the way that his thoughts were organized on the page, very easy to follow. I also liked the way he explained the entire cartoon. It made me think of things in the book differently than I had before.
6.
  • Meghann
  • Drawing
  • I think that even though the drawing was good, what she wrote really explained the literary element better. I don't think the drawing really had anything to do with it, but the writing was complex and took time.
7.
  • Daryl
  • Cartoon
  • Out of all of the cartoons I thought this one was the most thought out, but hard to understand. I think that it needs an instruction manual. He touched up on the literary side of the cartoon very uniquely with the hand drawn images.
8.
  • Joel
  • Cartoon
  • I think that although this one was good and was pretty much the only one that was completely originally drawn (no clip art), it still didn't really show any literary element.
9.
  • Olivia
  • Picture
  • This is another picture that was original and it showed symbolism pretty well. It looked like it took some effort.
10.
  • Keenan
  • Cartoon
  • All that was done was a small comic strip of clip art which summarized the book, but had no relation to literary elements. This could have been done in a few minutes and required very little work. (The music that is emitted from his blog is very soothing, I kept it going for a while. Haha.)
Self Evaluation-

I think my project measured up pretty well against the other projects. It took me quite a while make (aside from the communist hammer and sickle because I had to turn in my blog) and I hope that it explained literary symbolism well. Overall I think everybody made very well thought out projects.
